Workshop: PBPK modelling

The GMP is delighted to inform you that we will host the 4th workshop “Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) Modeling“. This workshop is co-organized by the directors of the Master 2 in PK (Lyon, Marseille, Paris, and Toulouse), ESQlabs, Simulations Plus, and the GMP. It will be held from 24^th to 26^th November 2026 at the Lyon Faculty of Pharmacy (France).

This workshop is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required for Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling. New Chemical and Biological Entities will be considered when applicable.

The number of participants is limited to 35:

• 20 students registered in one of the 4 Master co-organizing this workshop (please contact the director of your Master if you are interested). Fee: free registration, 10 euros for membership (mandatory)

• 15 industrial/academic delegates: Rate: 600 € + 50 € for GMP membership

The workshop has been structured into two parts:

• 1 day: four keynote lectures (90 to 120 minutes each) on the main applications of PBPK (including case studies)
• 2 days: hands-on exercises with keynote lectures on biologics.
  • GastroPlus hands-on program:
    • Practical Guide to Define API Distribution Using PBPK Models
    • Clearance IVIVE Using PBPK Models
    • Practical PBPK Considerations for Oral Models
    • PBPK Model application: Drug-Drug Interactions
  • PK-Sim hands-on program on biologics
    • Develop PBPK models for an ADC: one for the large molecule, and one for the small molecule payload.
    • Modularization 1: Add a Target-Mediated Drug Disposition reaction network as a reaction extension module.
    • Modularization 2: Add a tumor organ as a physiological extension module.
    • Work with separate modules to demonstrate how modular workflows streamline model management, reuse, and extension.
